Review 1 :
This netbook is great for the price. Mine is the same except I have the 250 gig hard drive.
Windows starter has only a few things so far that I see missing but aren't very much needed. You can upgrade from windows 7 starter for about $50.00
The onlything I miss is outlook for email, but this can be downloaded or purchased from microsoft.
Also should purchase an optical drive for loading softwarre or watching DVD's.
I would recommend this!!

Wanted a back up for my old laptop and decided to get a netbook. Was skeptic about the small screen at first but got used to it with time.
Has very good battery life and am glad about that because I was really particular about battery life.
The down side is that the volume is very low so I usually use headphones.
As per speed, it is ok though it can be slow at times, I intend to upgrade memory because I read in other reviews that once you upgrade the memory, it is quite fast.
The keys are like normal laptop keys although the back space key can be stiff at times but its not bad, I can work with it.
I was worried about the external lid when I got it but when it came, I fell in love with it because it is very chic!!!! Its very light which makes it handy.
Overall, I would say great product for a netbook and the price especially if you want something as a back up or even to use for everyday.

This is so great. Everything works easily and the picture is perfect. It is easy to carry around and downloads at a remarkable speed. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a small carry around computer.

Ordered this for school to do homework on the go and also be able to use the internet and everything else a windows computer can do. So far so good!
Pros:
- Sturdy build to it does not feel cheap when carrying it around and using it
- Keyboard is surprisingly big. The keys you use to type are just as big as a laptops keys meaning I can type just as fast as I can on my laptop and even my desktop.
- The screen is really bright and crisp. Beats out my laptops 15.4" screen for clarity!
- Windows 7 Starter runs much better than previous netbooks which had Windows XP. This thing boots fast and launches everything in no time!
- Battery life is amazing! Even with the screen on full brightness I have been watching flash videos and using mozilla firefox for hours.
Cons:
- Like ALL big name computers it comes loaded with a bunch of crap you don't need. I quickly deleted norton antivirus and installed the free and powerful microsoft security essentials. Which I might add runs nicely on this netbook completed a virus scan in under 20 minutes.
- The only con is the sound. Although I will be ordering a usb powered logitech z205 speaker which clips to the top of the netbook and provides very good sound as compared to any laptops/netbooks onboard speakers.

I think this is a fantastic netbook. I played with several others but they all felt very cheap to me and their keyboards especially felt like toys. The Toshiba definitely is a smaller keyboard so is not as nice to type on as a full-sized laptop keyboard, but it is the best I saw on a netbook and is very usable with a little getting used to. I bought this Toshiba for my mom who loves it. We have an older Lenovo widescreen laptop that is pretty large, but my mom loves how small and light the netbook is and brings it to the table every morning while she reads the paper and has coffee. She still uses the Lenovo for typing long emails, but everything else she now does on the netbook. Keep in mind that it comes with Vista Starter edition, which is fairly limited in terms of functionality. My main complaint is that she wanted to change the background and Starter edition doesn't allow you to do this (although there are several small programs that allow you to do this, but they must run in the background..normally only consuming less than 1mb of RAM).
The mouse touch pad is also very large on this Toshiba, bigger than the average laptop. Some of the other netbooks had these raised dots on the touch pad that was an interesting idea, but I just didn't like the feel of it.
I would definitely recommend the Toshiba, and based on what else I saw out there right now, this is definitely my favorite.
